The challenge
You have 10 rounds to challenge a learning machine. It studies your previous choices, predicts your next move, and chooses a move to beat that prediction. Can you find a strategy that keeps it guessing?
This is a simple statistical learning model. It counts what you have done and turns those counts into probabilities. It does not understand your thoughts, and it does not always get smarter.
Everything runs in this browser tab. Your choices and answers are never sent anywhere.
Learning goals
- Explain how previous examples become training data.
- Read a model’s predicted probabilities.
- Distinguish a correct prediction from winning a game.
- Describe why patterns can help a model predict future choices.
- Recognize that 10 rounds provide limited evidence.

Reflection questions
Use your results, charts, and table above as evidence in your answers.
Hint: look at how the machine picks its move once it has a prediction. What happens to the game result when a prediction is correct? What can happen when it is wrong?
